Sedro-Woolley Rec Center Remodel Capital Campaign
Help us modernize the Sedro-Woolley Rec Center!
In 2026, the Skagit Valley Family YMCA is remodeling the Sedro‑Woolley Rec Center to meet the needs of the youth who depend on it most.
At the Rec Center, the Y provides essential support like housing stability assistance, nutritious meals, a safe drop-in space, and prevention programs designed to empower young people across Skagit County. In 2025, our team served more than 600 unique youth nearly 7,400 meals. In the first six weeks of 2026, there have been 1,139 youth visits and 931 meals served.
The Rec Center is located in the former Sedro-Woolley Library and is a vibrant, safe space where youth can relax and feel seen, supported, and empowered. However, to keep pace with the growing needs of our youth, the building needs important upgrades.
This renovation will transform the building and usher in upgrades that help our team meet the growing influx of youth who visit the center. Planned improvements include:
- Expanding and remodeling the kitchen
- Adding on-site laundry facilities,
- Upgrading bathrooms,
- Replacing worn flooring and carpet,
- Enhancing the outdoor yard space to create more opportunities for youth to gather and thrive
We invite you to invest in the remodel alongside us as we continue to build a stronger, healthier Skagit Valley community — together.
