New Oasis Youth Shelter Capital Campaign
Skagit households and individuals: help finish funding the construction of the new Oasis Youth Shelter
Visit this page for progress updates on the new Oasis Youth Shelter.
For more than 20 years, the Oasis Youth Shelter has been a lifeline for Skagit County teens ages 13-17 who are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. Per 2023-24 data from the WA State Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), at least 801 students enrolled in the seven public school districts in Skagit were homeless.
As the only shelter of its kind in Skagit County, Oasis is crucial in providing these vulnerable youth with safe shelter, hot meals, and essential case management support.
The old shelter, housed in a century-old building, was no longer adequate to meet the needs of our youth, so we’re building a new, modern shelter that will significantly enhance our capacity and services.
We need the support of Skagit households and individuals to help finish funding the construction of the new Oasis Youth Shelter. Your financial support will directly help us pay off the remaining construction fees and help us furnish the space. Put your dollars to work and help us fill Oasis with all the comforts of home.
