The Y values strategic partnerships in achieving our mission of strengthening the mind, body, and spirit of all.
Local businesses, organizations, and nonprofits were central to getting the Y’s Hoag Road building built. Today, local organizations can make their impact on the Y by sponsoring our Y for All financial assistance program or sponsoring events that bring the community together.
*Are you an individual or family that'd like to become a sponsor? We'd love to have your support, too! If you'd like to sponsor in memory/honor of someone, you can do so here. Otherwise, donations to the Y should be submitted through our primary Give Page or the appropriate memorial fund page.
Here’s how you can support the Y in 2024:
-
Become a Community Partner sponsor
- Community partner sponsors ($2500/year) directly help the Y run its Y for All financial assistance program that helps people from all financial backgrounds make the Y part of their lives.
-
Sponsor a Y event (or several!)
- The Y hosts several community events each year that attract a wide range of ages and demographics from Skagit County. Event Sponsors ($750+) directly help the Y run these events.
The Y is hosting 4 major events in 2024:
-
Healthy Kids Day (Saturday, April 13)
- A fun, family-friendly event that encourages building healthy habits in kids! Community organizations attend and run booths with healthy activities and provide resources for parents. (~400 people)
-
T-3 3v3 Basketball Tournament (September 7-8, 2024)
- A 3v3 tournament for youth in grades 6-12 with a focus on promoting fentanyl awareness. 11 teams participated in 2023 and we hope to double that in 2024. (100+ people)
-
Chris Mang Memorial Fun Run & Walk (May 18)
- A 5k and 1 mile fun run and walk at the Skagit Valley Playfields. In addition to the fun run/walk, we’ll also be hosting several Special Olympics gatherings at the Sedro-Woolley Rec Center. (100+ people)
-
Halloween Spooktacular (October 2024)
- Our most popular event, this annual October event brings the community out in force for an evening filled with Halloween carnival games, treats, and fun for the whole family. (1100+ people)
