The last year has been quite the journey for our Y and our community. We are humbled at the Y by new challenges that test our courage as we recover from the pandemic.

In our Skagit Community, lack of equitable access to the basic necessities of life – housing, quality childcare, whole person wellness – keeps many from thriving. It is abundantly clear everyone deserves access to the resources they need to thrive, but challenges remain.

The challenges we face today will not make for easy passage. Yet the destination of a brighter tomorrow beckons us forward together.

The Y has been a cornerstone in the Skagit Valley for over 100 years. Our history shows we’ve continuously adapted to meet the evolving needs of our community. Whether fostering safe gatherings for railroad workers in the last century or expanding childcare access for families today, the Y is invested in making Skagit County a great place to live, work, and play.

We have weathered storms before on roads less traveled. We honor our rich history as we apply lessons learned to our journey ahead.
