The Skagit Valley is a wonderful place to live, work and play. We strive to reflect these same qualities across all programs of the Skagit Y, wearing our namesake with pride. Yet our community still faces challenges that will require bold solutions. We are especially aware of the barriers faced by our families, youth and children. At the Skagit Y, we are working hard to dismantle these hurdles for our neighbors by investing in kids, empowering youth, and cultivating wellness for all.

We invest in kids for a brighter tomorrow.
We empower youth to be the heroes of their own journey.
We cultivate wellness of mind, body and spirit at every phase of life.

Social Responsibility: Empower Youth

Young people should be the heroes of their own journey. The Y’s Oasis Teen Shelter provides youth ages 13-17 and their families with safe, supportive, and confidential support. Through a range of services from crisis intervention and shelter to arts, music and meals, Oasis takes a holistic approach to empowering young people to thrive.

Youth Development: Invest in Kids

Investment in our kids today ensures a brighter tomorrow. Our Y provides high-quality childcare across 9 sites for children ages 1 to 12 years old around Skagit County. We partner with other providers and offer financial assistance to make childcare accessible and affordable to all families.

Healthy Living: Cultivate Wellness

Everyone deserves a healthy mind, body and spirit. The Y cultivates programs that promote personal growth, encourage active lifestyles, and foster multi-generational connections across our diverse community. Whether it be our seniors in the pool or our kids on the court, we provide opportunity for wellness at every phase of life.
