Thank you for considering sponsoring the Chris Mang Memorial Fund and its 2026 events. Sponsorship funds will support the Chris Mang Memorial Fund, which directly supports programs designed to enrich the lives of youth, families, and our friends with special needs in Skagit Valley.
Here are the activities the Chris Mang Memorial Fund is supporting in 2026:
- Special Olympics and Friends Dance, Karaoke, and Game Night
- April 3, 5:00-8:00pm
- Sedro-Woolley Rec Center (802 Ball Street, Sedro-Woolley)
- This event is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the hard work our local Special Olympians and Friends have put in all winter and to get excited for the Fun Run & Walk.
- YMCA Healthy Kids Day
- April 18, 12:30 - 2:30pm
- Skagit Valley Family YMCA (1901 Hoag Road, Mount Vernon)
- This community event encourages local families and kids to get active and pursue healthy lifestyles.
- Chris Mang Memorial Charity Fun Run and Walk
- May 16, 9:00am-12:00pm
- This event brings together family and friends of the Mang/Glesne family for a celebratory day and the opportunity to run or walk a 5k/1 mile course.
- YMCA Halloween Spooktacular
- October 17, 5:00 - 8:00pm
- This community event gives local families the opportunity to celebrate Halloween with games, activities, and spooky fun.
- Special Olympics Halloween Bowling Tournament
- October 22, 4:15 - 5:45pm
- Bowling at Riverside Lanes in Mount Vernon for local Special Olympics athletes.
- Cold Weather Clothing Drive
- The Y collects cold weather clothing throughout the month of October to distribute to at-risk Skagit youth in need of warm weather clothing.
