Join us to celebrate the completion of the New Oasis Youth Shelter!
We’re throwing a block party! Join us on Thursday, July 17 from 4:30 - 7:00pm to celebrate the completion of the NEW Oasis Youth Shelter and a celebration of all who make up our Skagit Valley Family YMCA community.
During the festivities, you can:
- Take a tour of the brand-new shelter
- Enjoy free food and refreshments
- Listen to a short presentation by Y staff and key stakeholders on the Oasis Youth Shelter Rebuild project
- Mingle with Skagit Y staff from around the association and hear what we're up to
- Enjoy an evening spent in community with fellow Skagitonians!
The block party will take place at the site of the New Oasis Youth Shelter (125 N. 5th St, Mount Vernon).
- We’ve blocked off the street in front of Oasis and neighborhood parking is very limited.
- We have reserved two parking lots a short walking distance from the new shelter. Please park either at the old YMCA (215 E Fulton St, Mount Vernon, WA 98273) or the Mount Vernon High School (1075 E Fulton Street, Mount Vernon, WA 98273).
- We’ll have a shuttle bus running between these locations and Oasis during the event. We'll have signage and Y staff members at our pick-up spots if you'd like to catch a ride.
Please RSVP so that we have a headcount for food and seating. The event is FREE, so bring your friends and family!
